I forgot something went you adding the effects in your icons create an action to record all you do and then you can apply in lot the same changes in all the icons.
If you have or use photoshop in the “layers” section select the image and doble click it and then will open up a screen that show you the option to make it clear or more transparent the image only select the porcent desire for your icons and youre good to go 🙂 There are other effect that you can add also, play with the options on that screen.

i have a idea 2 try. instead of black icons, make them enbossed & transparent.
