Hello again,
I'm trying to do this without the Photoshop DDS plugin because my Photoshop CS5.5 Extended is run on my Macbook, not a PC.
I use a program called "Graphic Converter" for the Mac instead of the DDS plugin.
I am loading my .jpg images into Graphic Converter and then saving them as .dds files. I am using the save option "DXT1 (RGB)". I thought this would be the same as the Photoshop export for DXT1 no alpha.
Also, to create the border I am loading the .dds file into Graphic Converter and converting it to a .png image. Then I open the .png in Photoshop and make the changes I want. I save as .png, open again in Graphic Converter, and save again as a .dds using the save option "DXT5 (RGBA)".
When I compile though, all I get is a "temp" folder. I know it is my .dds files because when I use .jpg in my .xml file for the texture instead of .dds it compiles and gives me a .raf file. But then it doesn't display when I load the .p3t onto my PS3. Also, I have no spaces in any of my directories.
Just wanted to know if there are other specifications that I need to know about when I save my files. I don't get many options as far as .dds files go (just DXT1 - DXT5).
Anyway, sorry for another long post. If anyone is checking this please let me know if you can help. Thanks.
