Heres a vid i made that might help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....ature=plcp and look in forums im sure f rot has a sound tutorial.

What's causing you trouble with the icons? You'll need Photoshop or some other image editting program.
They need to be a certain sizes too. I'm not on my reg PC so I can't check the exact sizes for each but if you download the file on this page - http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/.....uidelines/ it has all the icon files you'll need.
You can just open them up/edit and save over top of them without worrying about making the correct sizes and whatnot. Although it's probably best to keep a backup copy of each if you goto make another theme in the future
Be sure to save them as .PNG too, or else they won't have transparent background and will all be white squares.
After you've made your icons and stuff just open up PS3 Theme Builder (download is available here on ps3-themes) and create your new theme and add the icons from there. You can also add your own sound files through that program too, though most people seem not to like custom sounds.
Hope that helps.

the video shows about editting the color and atleast making some effects like shadow, glow etc. the video also includes how automating batch files means that you can just edit one picture and the edit you did to that one picture will be apply in all of the icons. Its a good start for beginners like us but i know what you feel arenoriu cuz im also aiming for creating my own icons with picture/desingns o^^. that will do for now

(In Photoshop) Open whatever image you want to use for the icon. Edit it however you wish. Open the icon you want to replace. Drag your edited image into the icon. If you need to, after dragging your image resize it using 'free transform'. Delete the original icon layer. Save as png. If any of this is unfamiliar to you, you may want to check out some Photoshop tutorials. Also, if you're not familiar with Photoshop, or any other program, just play with it. Try different stuff, see what things do. And remember - Google is your friend.
