First of you need to get all your wallpapers and icons ready so you'll need a photo editor like photoshop (or if you don't have that i'd say download paint.net as its a pretty good free editor). I'd start with your wallpaper first so after you have one then re-size it to make it either HD or SD.

HD wallpapers size = 1920 x 1080 SD wallpapers size = 640 x 480

Next you want to edit your icons. You can either use other peoples by using the extractor or you can make your own by editing the default ones found here http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/.....uidelines/

Its trial and error really because only you can find the best way to make your theme to your liking.
