MSVCR71.dll is a Microsoft's run time library file, which is often used by many programs to work correctly (like PS3 Theme Builder, for example)...

You just need to go to some Microsoft's support site to download it: then, it should be placed into your "system32" directory (or whatever you have in your computer) Wink

You have to re-name SlideShow.raf to Anim_1.jpg before you run the p3tcompiler.exe. Depending on your windows settings you not be able to change the extention (.raf to .jpg). So open up SlideShowTheme.xml and go to line 128 it should look like this

     <bgimage anim="Anim_1.jpg" />

What this is telling the p3tcompiler is that background animation image is called Anim_1.jpg. So change the name to SlideShow.raf (or whatever you name it). Like this

     <bgimage anim="SlideShow.raf" />

Don't forget the quotation marks either side of the name. That should do the trick enjoy man Smile

it's probably a naming issue or something not matching in the xml. that's usually the problem.

ok if thats the reason im not seeing where the issue is everything looks right ut ill keep checking. i even put the original xml and js back and then i remodded the collumns so instead of 8 theres 14 in both. the only real change i made was with the timer i was trying to speed it up to 5 seconds and thats whn the problem occured so i put the old files back changed the columns and left it and still no luck

*I'm at work right now so i'm going off of memory*

There should be a line called 'slide_duration' or something like that in the js file. It's structured as seconds.milliseconds. for instance five seconds would look like 5.0
I know a while ago GlowBall had scripts with a bunch of 'GlowBall's in them. If you have that type of script I can help you when I get home. I'll look for you on PSN.

I need help. So I tryed to add more slides to my theme, so I edited the jsceip file and the XML file adding the respective lines according to how many pictures I wanted. So I did everything and it all seemed good. But when I installed and applied it on my ps3. I see the firts image for a mere second, and the it disappears and nothing else happens . All I see are the custom icons but no images. I only see the default background, you know the normal back ground that you get when you have a default theme.
So any ideas as to why is this happening? Please help and
Thanks in advance.

This happened to me too. I wasn't sure why. I think the images you used may be too big. Your images dimensions have to be 1920x1080 or 1280x720 for HD themes. The size of those images shouldn't be more than 1mb or something like that.

Well...I can compile my theme, but it doesn't do the slideshow changes. It just stays on the one background.

EDIT: Never mind! I got it to work. There's no smooth transitions though. It just goes to the next one.
