If you haven't checked yet the newest update stops homemade dynamic themes (the one's with animated bg's) from working. The themes made with "Dynamic Theme Editor" will still work.

animated themes still work but only the ones with 30-40 frames. I know there is a bug in the 3.41 firmware and 100+ frames don't work on there.

4.0 seems to be stopping them. I think this is because they have decreased the limitations on some stuff like this as an example

Max actors - was 128 now 70
Max texture size - was 15mb now 10mb

Of course I don't know till I test this but I will figure it out. Only people with the 4.0 SDK will know for sure.

For all users of my animated themes I will try to fix and update them very soon 🙁

Oh man Glowball what a sad day with this update the 100+ animated themes stop to work. I hope that will be a way to repair our works. For other part the 3.41 firware runs the animated themes 100+ frames fine that I know, I have a PS3 on 3.41 for that reason I say that.

Well with the 3.73 was posible with extra hardware like progskeet or e3flasher but I don't know if this method is still valid on firmware 4.0. If you are on 3.55 you can downgrade to 3.41 without the use of a special hardware.

@Glowball

I forgot to edit my post but yea I realized that themes with 30-40 frames will work by applying Faxtrons sonic theme. It sucks that the 100+ frame themes will stop working but I'm sure there will be a way to get around it.

Thanks for the update I had no time to test yesterday. Now I can update my themes to the new frame limit.

arghhh... :/  For some reason the new firmware only has allowed 90 images at 11 mb for me.  I just resized and converted all 114 images of my theme so they come out to 11 mb but when I compiled and loaded it, it didn't work.

Yeah I thought it went by texture size too. But it goes by number of actors so for my theme type I would have 89 for the video clip and 1 for the border 🙂

Does anyone know if the maximum file size is 15 mb or is it something else?

I've noticed the themes are more stable with 87 frames and they work with a max file size of 15 mb
