Hi everybody,
First of all, English is not my native language, so please forgive my bad English.
The problem is that I'v created my own custom theme, i copied it to my USB device, i've installed it on my ps3, but when i press 'apply' it just shows the standard ps3 theme.
So to find out what i did wrong i downloaded the standard template i found on this site, and i replaced the standard backgrounds with the ones i created. When i install the standard ps3 template, everything works fine. But when i install the same ps3 theme (but with the different backgrounds), it won't work. It just reverts back to the standard ps3 theme.
So, this led me to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with the backgrounds. But i can't figure out what, and it's driving me nuts!
The HD backgrounds are 1920 x 1080 pixels, RGB, 300 DPI and are of course .jpg files
The SD backgrounds are 640 x 480 pixels, RGB, 300 DPI and also .jpg
Is there anyone who knows what i did wrong?

Uhm... the fact you say they're at 300 dpi, makes me think that maybe their file size is too big, so it happens that PS3 is not able to "see" them, and displays only the icons and its default background (the moving waves).
To avoid this problem, every background must not exceed 1MB (much better if less than that) so, I suggest you to check the file size of your backgrounds: if they're too big, just try to reduce them as much as you can...
Try that, and let me know
