Hi,
does anyone to where to find any good tutorials or links to tutorials for editing ps3 icons through photoshop.
any help would be grateful.

Because there are so many things you can do with the icons you won't find a universal tutorial for editing icons. Basically you can do whatever you want within the default icon size (128x128 for the majority of them). There are TONS of Photoshop tutorials on the interwebs that can easily be applied to creating and/or adding effects to the icons. I can send you a few PSDs of the icons I've made, so you can get an idea of what I do with them if you're interested
