TO DAHL: well, this means that something is really wrong… Ok, try to do this and let’s see what happens: just started RealWorld, select CREATE ==> NEW RASTER IMAGE and in the next window enter the size (128×128 of course). Open your picture and with the “squared selection tool” which is at the top left of the screen (click the sky-blue colored square) select an area of exactly 128×128, then copy and paste it directly into the new image. Ok, but we need to know what’s the problem: the fact that the LilWayne icon I made for you has worked, makes me think the problem could be with your theme builder, but if you say the program still doesn’t recognize the icons even if you made them with RealWorld, it means that maybe something goes wrong when you save in png format. yes but i’ve given up and started all over on a new theme, were all is supposed to be made by me!

At this point, I think there’s something wrong with your PS3 theme builder: have you downloaded the version 3.0 from lili-chan.com site?
still not working, redone them at least 100 times in realworldpaint and still nothing.
Well, Paint is not a bad program, but is not quite suitable for drawing icons…
Instead, RealWorld allows you to quickly create layered images, or draw directly with alpha channel (i.e. the parameter that makes it possible to draw on a transparent background), not to mention all the effects as lighting, texturing and so on…
There are many programs with the same functions, but I find this one is very practical and intuitive. However, if there’s something you don’t understand, you can count on me.

GOOOOOD!!! 😛 But don’t give up and listen to me: since you have the same problem with all the other icons, it’s very likely (as I said) that this problem depends on your graphics program or even your PS3 theme builder… So, here’s an advice from a friend “who loves you” (don’t misunderstand… :P)! Well, the image is a normal jpeg: I had no problem converting it to png and my PS3 theme builder has recognized it. This makes me think that maybe there’s something wrong with your graphics program or PS3 theme builder.
What’s your graphics program?

Mmm… if so, probably its native format has some specific data that interferes with the program even if you save in png. But even so, it seems quite strange!
What picture is it? If I could look at it, maybe I could figure out what’s wrong…
Hey Dahl! Have you bought JC2? This game is funny! While playing, you can even record videos and decide if save them on HDD or upload on youtube… O_o
listen, i just found the pics on google picture, resized them, and saved them as png’s
I mean, for example: ALPHA CHANNEL, INTERLACING, etc…

So, tell me which parameters you set when saving in png format.
Ive resized and saved it as a png multiple times.
Right, it could be! Usually, the only reason why the program does not recognize an icon is because that icon is oversized or is in an unconventional format.
Is it an icon you’ve made yourself? Or did you find it somewhere? If so maybe it’s just named as a png when it’s something else. Open it with a graphics program and save it again and see if it helps.

The program says that this picture is not in png format. Now, the question is: are you using this picture to make a background or an icon? And then, the program you’re using is VERSION 3.0 or lower?
it says one of my pictures is not a png even though i doublecheckede, it’s the on i have as my main video icon!! Sorry for not responding, busy week

2)is it related to a background or an icon?
3)if the problem is related to an icon, which icon?
optimus i use the same, and all my pics are under 1 MB i just do’nt get it!

Hey Dahl! I don’t know what program you’re using, but I use PS3 Theme Builder 3.0: it has an intuitive interface and is very easy to use. You can search it on google, but I downloaded it from lili-chan.com
The important is that you respect the exact size of icons and backgrounds (the backgrounds can be saved in jpeg format and must be under 1 megabyte).
You already know the rest, I suppose.

solved that problem, new problem is, it says my pictures are’nt PNG files, and they are! :O
well im lazy… and done… and i’ve got a problem !! I ca’nt seem to press “Build Theme”, every time i do it says “Put a real value into Author box, undefined, is not value” i’ve inputted my author name (Dahl)
But you’re right, lazy man :D… Thinking about it, actually it would be sufficient a single icon for all cards (except USB, I suppose) with the card type connected at the moment written under the icon.
except i sometimes lazily use a usb shaped icon for mem stick, compact flash, SD card, but there all yhe same 🙂 I dont alwats do it
Yep! This device allows you to record TV programs directly on your HDD. However, it has been more successful in Japan than in the rest of the world, but… as rightly Yogosan said, some people have it. So, creating a theme, you must always include the icons associated with all existing features in the XMB.

No, seriously… you could try again and see what comes out: then, if someone starts to appreciate your themes, you can decide whether to continue or not.
Personally, I think that “newcomers” always have a great potential to be expressed and is fascinating to see how their skills evolve (sheesh! I’m speaking as a shrink! :P)…
haha no i’ve got a halffinished rap theme laying around, do’nt know if i can have it done by next update but i’ll try 😛
