i’m trying to finish engineering (metal work) and construction projects and portfolios, these are about 20% of the exam, the main written exam is in june. englis irish math french construction engineering. but i’m not too worried about it.

If I remember correctly, is a Korean movie about a serial killer who kills in the nights of rain (who said Heavy Rain…? :P), right?
Well, Crying Freeman is not exactly an Asian movie (it was made by USA, Canada and Japan), but it’s based on a very good manga created by Kazuo Koike and Ryoichi Ikegami.
The story tells of Yo Hinomura, the most ruthless and infallible killer in the world trained by the organization/cult of the 108 Dragons to kill politicians, leaders of other criminal organizations and so on… But the truth is that he’s like a slave to this organization which forces him to make those crimes: for this reason, he cries (thinking to the freedom he’ll never regain) every time he kills someone and so he’s called “Crying Freeman”.
One day, a beautiful artist named Emu sees Yo while he’s killing a man: the organization finds out what happened and orders him to kill the girl, but when he sneaks in her house to complete the task, both fall in love and Yo decides to save her breaking all the organization rules.
So, Yo and Emu start a complicated story made of love and violence, feelings and compromises, happiness and sadness… until Yo decides to swear eternal loyalty to the 108 Dragons provided that they accept the relationship he has with Emu. The organization’s leader (knowing that Yo is the only worthy successor capable of taking command of the 108 Dragons) accepts: so, Emu joins the organization and she also becomes a formidable killer who will follow Yo forever.
They begin a sort of new life, reinforced not only by the love, but also by the fact that Yo sees in Emu the freedom he never had and Emu considers Yo as the strength she needs to go on…
The manga was wonderful, but the movie is not bad, though.
no, i havnt seen that. i watched memories of murder recently. it was pretty good but not very…..conclusive…..i wouldnt want to ruin the ending

Hey Yogosan, you know what? It’s weird: even having seen all the backgrounds, every time I turn on the PS3 this theme seems to me always different! (or maybe I’m going crazy and sooner or later characters will talk to me… :P)
By the way, I was thinking to Asian movies we were talking about and I wondered: do you know Crying Freeman?
i guess the whole western setting should refresh the ideas a bit. i think they are running out of ideas with gta. and this is GTA V: Wild West.

But, from what I read/heard, this game looks set almost like a RPG with random events during exploration and stuff like that: this should change some things a bit, I think…
it does look incredible and i’m sure i will buy it. that being said, gta4 looked incredible and i was sure i would buy it. but unfortunately for R* i actually played it at a friends place and absolutely hated everything about it……so we’ll have to wait and see!

Well, when I bought the PS3 at day 1, I still had a standard TV. When I started creating themes, I tested them on many different models of SD TV and each time I noticed the images were cut, but I didn’t understand why.
Then, I used my “super electronic technician abilities” (20 years ago I even worked on TVs) to understand what the problem was…
If you remember, in your PS3 Slim Red theme there was a guy who said to see the background cut: this because the PS3 optimizes the SD images (that’s why Theme Builder requires the 640×480 resolution) but a SD TV displays at 720×576, so it is as if the SD image was zoomed. The display options (which often can help to solve the problem) change from one TV to another, but basically all have that resolution: for this reason, is used the 600×450 image inside the 640×480 image.
you know that HD template will come in handy too. believe it or not i never bothered to fifure out where the homerow icons (EXCEPT the one one you are hovering over) are located. well i never needed to, but one day, who knows. im gonna give a +1 for that!!
well i’m not 100% sure, but i think SD tv’s come in all shapes and sizes. but if some people downoad it and can confirm it fits any sd tv, then i would definately be able to optimuze sd backs in the future

Hey, Yogosan, in my Abstract 2 theme, I was telling you: remember when I told you about the templates for the XMB (to be sure the icons do not cover important parts of the background) and the fact the standard TV cuts the images?
I also noticed that often you’re forced to make SD images different from HD (for example, Dragon Age SD images are different and do not have the symbol used in those HD, as well as those of Cyanide & Happiness do not have the “cross”).
Well, while ago I was doing a meticulous work for me when suddenly I thought it might be handy to you too.
